Uplifting children and families

For Illinois Action for Children’s 2024 “A Time to Shine” annual fundraiser, the challenge was to create an elevated, enduring timeline to celebrate their 55-year legacy despite relying on limited archived photography. I solved this by designing a timeless, reusable system that visually alluded to a historical newspaper, ensuring typography carried the narrative weight. To communicate the celebratory nature of the event, I retained the primary purple brand color while intentionally replacing their customary yellow with a rich gold accent.  This instantly elevated the piece from a historical recap to a commemorative success story built for long-term use.

The timeline has since been used at a number of internal and external events to clearly articulate the dedication and impact the organization has had in the past, present and continues with into the future.
